Key Historical Milestones

• 1910: Founded as a mission by 4 communicants led by Ven. Edwin Weary at 7th and Columbia.
• 1925: Rev. Frank B. Eteson appointed vicar.
• 1946–1949: Gift of lots at 8th and Joliet. Moved rectory, renovated an Amarillo Air Force Base chapel, and converted old church to a mission hall.
• 1954: Achieved parish status under Rev. Henry F. Seaman.
• 1962: Completed current church plant.
• 1974: First woman elected to the vestry.

Notable Leadership & History

• Rev. James Mock: Longest-serving rector (1961–1982).
• Diocesan Impact: Published The North Texas Adventure (founded by Rev. Frank Stedman) for many years with Plainview lay/clergy editors.
